Updating the Keys for DNS Security

Internet Domain NameNIST has released its September ITL Bulletin on updating the keys used by the Domain Name System (DNS) Security Extensions (DNSSEC) protocol to improve DNS reliability. The bulletin describes DNSSEC and validation keys, the key change timeline, and what DNS administrators need to know about DNSSEC validation.

NIST publishes an exhaustive series of information security standards that federal systems should adopt to comply with FISMA and the Privacy Act. Its monthly ITL bulletins highlight topics concerning the information security community and cover recent FIPS and NIST publications.
