Joshua Grove, Senior Information Assurance Consultant and Project Manager, earned EC Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA) certification while attending an ECSA boot camp at the Academy of Computer Education (ACE) in Greenbelt, Maryland.
The training was part of TalaTek’s continuing education program that keeps its members on the cutting edge of information security. The course was taught by veteran penetration tester Anthony Williams. ECSA is an advanced ethical hacking training certification that follows the EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker, CEH certification.
ECSA training teaches information security professionals the use of methodologies, tools and techniques required to perform comprehensive information security penetration testing. Tools covered in the course included the use of Nmap, the Linux Backtrack distribution, Metasploit, Snort and the wireless testing tool Kismet. During the training, the tools were used to compromise simulated networks, servers, workstations and wireless networks.
