Oakton, VA, September 7, 2010 – On September 2nd, Baan Alsinawi, president of TalaTek, LLC., learned that the 2010 GISLA Judges Committee had chosen the firm as a finalist in the Federal Contractor category, and that the firm’s representatives would be honored at the GISLA Gala Dinner and Ceremony on Wednesday, October 6, 2010.

Since 2004, the (ISC)2 Government Information Security Leadership Awards (GISLAs) program has been recognizing the ongoing commitment by federal information security leaders to build a highly qualified and ethical workforce.
A nominations committee comprised of twelve senior information security experts review and select winners from five categories of finalists based upon the selection criteria and eligibility requirements.
Each year, in early October, all qualified nominees are honored during an invitation only dinner ceremony in the DC area. The GISLA Gala has come to be recognized as a premier event that brings together information security decision makers from within the federal government. Drawing from over 30 agencies and the government contractor community, the event welcomes 120-plus senior level attendees in influential positions, presenting a superior networking opportunity.
The GISLA Program was established as part of (ISC)²’s effort to recognize the ongoing commitment by federal information security leaders whose initiatives in the areas technology, process/policy or community awareness have led to significant improvements in the security posture of a department, agency or the entire federal government.
