The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and EC-Council, a world leader in IT Security Certification and Training, held a 2015 Capital Region TakeDownCon training and conference, June 1 and 2.
TalaTek Security Analysts Joshua Grove and Brian Thiellen attended the two-day EC-Council Foundation event, which provided a forum for researchers to display cutting-edge techniques of attack and methods for defense.
On August 23rd, Johann Dettweiler earned the “Certified Ethical Hacker” certification, offered by EC-Council. The certification is awarded to Information Security professionals who complete training in learning how to identify and defend against the latest cyber-criminal hacking threats.
On January 15, 2014, TalaTek’s Senior Information Assurance Consultant, Joshua Grove, was awarded the credential of Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) from EC-Council. EC-Council’s LPT program provides those seeking the accreditation the opportunity to practice their skills so that they are fully able to function as a licensed penetration tester.
On April 4, 2013, TalaTek attended the MACHA (Mid-Atlantic Clearing House Association) training on Account Takeover and Cyber Crime.
The full-day program was designed to assist financial institutions in mitigating their risks from account takeovers.
Joshua Grove, Senior Information Assurance Consultant and Project Manager, earned EC Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA) certification while attending an ECSA boot camp at the Academy of Computer Education (ACE) in Greenbelt, Maryland.
